We will host three distances in 2026: 40K, 20K and 10K!
The 40K and 20K will be teams only, while the 10K will be open for Teams and Solo.
Proclamation: Rockman made it clear: NO whining will be tolerated. He even insisted that we move the race earlier in the summer to ensure the colder edition he craves, and we’ve included some previously unused paths to make things even harder.
ROCKMAN SWIMRUN 40K
4 JULY 2026
LYSEFJORDEN, NORWAY
PREIKESTOLEN - FJORDCROSSING - FLØRLI 4444
10 swims, 6.4 km in total
10 runs, 35 km in total
2400 m elevation gain
Flørli: 4444 Stairs @ 750 m
Pulpit Rock @ 604 m
This legendary trek starts with a ferry jump into the fjord beneath Preikestolen Basecamp, you will climb your way to Preikestolen, back the Lysenfjord for more chilly swims, some of the most technical running you’ll ever experience and then a fjord crossing to climb the Flørli 4444 Stairs, finishing back at Florli. Note: This is not an identical course to 2015 or 2022. Designed for teams only, it’s a true test of mental and physical endurance. With only limited spots available (due to ferry limits), the stakes are high.

Flørli: 4444 Stairs @ 750 m
Starting with a ferry jump in the chilly waters of the Lysenfjord, followed by one of the most technical trails on course, a 1600m fjord crossing and climbing the Flørli 4444 stairs and ending with a descent back down to Flørli. Rockman guarantees that while it might be shorter than the 40 km course, it will NOT be easy. You’ll be amazed by the terrain, the challenges, and of course, the cold.

LYSEFJORDEN, NORWAY
FERRY JUMP - FLØRLI 4444 - TECHNICAL TRAILS
6 swims, 3500 meter in total
6 runs, 18 km in total
1200 m elevation gain
Technical Trails
Flørli: 4444 Stairs @ 750 m
Rockman introduces a new distance to the race this year. The shortest distance yet, but this course is certainly not for beginners. It will also be difficult and just as technical and cold as the other distances. This distance will also get a ferry jump start into Lysenfjord as you stare at the Flørli 4444 stairs that await you when you finish your first swim. Two more swims await at the top of the stairs and a descent back down to Flørli. This hilly, rocky path is an adventure for teams and solo athletes. If you’ve wanted to give Rockman a try, here’s your chance, but it won’t be easy.
